It is time, once again, to stop listening to the news. Yesterday I heard the chilling story of five civilians killed, executed, in Baghdad. Soldier Boy had planned to go to work for that company. In Baghdad. And would have been there now, had things worked out.
I said a prayer for the souls of the men who died, and for those who did the killing, and could not help thinking... how things might have been different, had things worked out.
He has, supposedly, gone to work for another security company, with plans to go to Iraq. But I don't, can't... believe it just yet.
