The Farm

Jun. 23, 2002 ~ So far,

so good. Susan gave Misha a different medication, and now he's doing much, much better. He's still weak and I don't know how much time he has left, but I'd say the outlook is brighter. I know we're just buying time, but at least now he doesn't seem to be suffering.

Husband has been home on vacation this past week, which means we've been working harder than ever. We now have a new floor in the trailer, over 300 small bales of hay in the barn (that plus the round bales we've already bought... means that we're set for the year), and Husband has recently started painting the house.

The trim was originally a dark red, but I was bored with it and thought we'd switch to dark brown. Bad move. It was TOO dark, which we discovered after he'd already started painting the porch. Ahem. We made yet another trip to the store, returning all that lovely brown paint, and bought dark red. Whew. Now, there's nothing wrong with brown, not one thing. It just didn't look right on this house. It will probably be two or three weeks before he gets it all painted, as he'll only be able to paint on the weekends. But it will be well worth the effort.
