Feb. 07, 2002 ~ Quick notes

I have something like seven minutes, twelve, if I push it, in which to write a brief update. It's almost time to leave for work!

In no particular order:

Bucky horse is doing better, thank goodness. He's depressed, because he has to stay in the pen for a while, but we kept one of the other horses in the pen to keep Bucky company. Not that he is spoiled or anything.

Son is indeed driving the old car now, which is going okay, except for that one time the other day when neither of us could get the thing started. It now has a "trick." You can't just get in and turn the key. You have to turn the key just so, while holding the whatchamacallit, and it probably helps to say a little prayer.

The insurance company decided, two weeks after the wreck, that well, yeah, they think they WILL total it out after all. What a HUGE surprise (sarcasm, sarcasm)... after all, the truck rolled. It was pretty obviously messed up. So one of these days, hopefully soon, they will send us a check and we can start looking at a replacement vehicle. We suspect it won't be nearly as good as our old one was, but that's the way things go. The most important thing is that our son is okay.

My pain and numbness remain the same. I'm trying not to let it get me down. Husband gets very frustrated about it, moreso than I do, oddly enough. "Can't they DO something about this? What do you think it is? Why can't they figure it out? Do you think it's something really bad?" All questions without answers... I can only look at him and say that I don't know.

Misha is still hanging in there! How amazing! For a while it seemed that he had only days left, but he seems to be feeling a little better now. No need to rush into good-byes just yet.

Oops... time's up!
