Sept. 24, 2001 ~ Two gone
Pepper is still hanging in there, though we are mystified as to what is causing his illness and his strange lab results. Though he's losing weight, his lab results are a bit better, which is good. We are changing his medication again today.
Yesterday we found one of the barn cats, Taffy, dead. No signs of trauma, and he'd seemed perfectly healthy on Saturday, so we really don't know what happened. He was a very sweet boy, though, and I'll sure miss him.
Our four wild ducks are now three. One of them disappeared... and we have no clue. I suspect something (dog, coyote, etc.) got the duck. Poor baby.
Such a cheery entry, eh? Oh, and now I'm sick, too. Figures.
